Dundee United chairman Stephen Oakland Athletics Jersey Thompson have told Rangers that 750,000 is not enough for striker David Goodwillie. The Scotland Under-21 international, who was this week named Clydesdale Bank young player of the year, has been linked with a summer switch to Ibrox.Goodwillie has been a hit for the tangerines this seasonBut Thompson said: We have had absolutely no contact from Rangers about David Goodwillie or any other player, thats the first thing I would say. Regarding the money being talked about, any club bidding that amount would be wasting their time because it would take a lot more than that to make us give a bid serious consideration. If that is all someone could offer, they should not bother, though I would stre s the player is on a long-term contract and our wish is to keep him at Dundee United.Personally, I think Goodwillie would be an excellent signing and has major potential. With Boyd, Novo and Beasley all set to leave in the summer, plus Velicka, Naismith and Lafferty who are hardly the best strikers, then signing a few strikers is certainly what we need. Goodwillie has a fine touch, good Dave Henderson Jersey pace and a good eye for goal.
